The Denver Opera Collective brings accessible and affordable summer opera to the Mile High City.

A non-profit organization run by singers for singers, we aim to :

  • provide a high caliber performance opportunity for local singers who are beyond the academic stage of their careers
  • restore the connection between the general public and “big opera” by providing a fun summer opera experience for Denver families.

Singers with the Denver Opera Collective become officers and committee members, helping to raise funds and awareness, while our Advisory Committee and artistic staff make all casting and artistic decisions.

The Denver Opera Collective currently runs on a tuition structure in order to cover the costs of hiring a chamber orchestra and the necessary conductors, directors, and coaches. We are committed to keeping these costs competitive and tuition currently ranges between $200-500. Our long-term plan for the organization involves a structure of donor sustainability that will allow for us to cut these singers’ costs.
